Poster Competition
Regional Student Poster Competition. The subject of each poster is left entirely to the individual student. Presentations often focus on recent advances in some branch of chemical engineering, original research, or plant design. Participation in the Regional Student Poster Competition offers valuable, real-world experience for students. AIChE's Student Chapters Committee supports the competition with prize money, though the regional awards may be augmented from other sources at the discretion of each regional host school. - When you buy the General Admission ticket, Eventbrite will ask you whether you want to participate in the poster and paper competitions. And if the answer is "yes", it will give you Google form links for uploading your files. The files do not have to be uploaded at the time of the registration, but we should receive them by the specified deadlines for the respective competitions.
- There is currently no upper limit on the number of participants, given that the posters can be presented concurrently to each other.
- Since this an individual competition multiple students cannot present poster together.
- The posters will be electronically displayed on LCD screens, which means you can make them animated, zoom in and out, etc. You do NOT need to bring a printed poster.
- Our LCDs have a 1920x1080 screen size, therefore any 16:9 presentation above 720p resolution will look good. However, to match the screen ideally in PowerPoint:
Go to the Design tab.
Click on the "Slide Size" and select "Custom Slide Size..."
For Width, enter 20 Inches.
For Height, enter 11.25 inches.
Click OK.
- Please bring a backup of your poster on a USB stick, just in case of troubles with your uploaded file
- You car, EDP & PPE should be displayed next to the poster.
